About me

As someone who grew up in the Canadian Rockies I have always felt inspired by the beauty of the landscapes around me. People often comment on how it must have been terrible to grow up in a place so full of tourists but I actually feel incredibly lucky to have been able to witness the joy that the mountains brought to people, myself included. I hope that my art can express some of the joy they brought to me.

Growing up I took art classes in any medium I could get my hands on from landscape watercolour, to oil portraiture, to abstract sculpture and ceramics. I remember spending summers in art camps and free time painting with my babysitter. I had plans to attend Emily Carr University to continue studying Fine Arts after high school, but after much deliberation I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science instead. This brought be to the coast that lead me to new kinds of creativity including graphic design and pottery! If you are every out that way you can find my designs sold at the Bamfield Marine Science Centre and Kindred Coast Apparel.

This year I moved to the West Kootenays and look forward to exploring this new area and phase of my life as I continue my art journey and start my Bachelor of Education.

Stay tuned as I try and figure out how best to use this website (and hopefully share some pottery)!
